LOST DENA HIP-HOP. REDISCOVERED.
Before everything lived on streaming platforms, DENA had its own soundtrack.
The MADE IN DENA Cassette Tap — DENA Mixtape Vol. 1 brings some of that music back in an entirely new way.
Designed to look like an old-school cassette tape, this credit-card-sized collectible uses built-in tap technology to connect your compatible smartphone directly to a specially created MADE IN DENA digital mixtape featuring music from Pasadena & Altadena artists and producers.
No digging through apps. No subscription. No separate media player.
Just tap your phone and press play.
Volume 1 reaches into the DENA archives to rediscover local hip-hop stretching back approximately 20 years, giving tracks from our community another opportunity to be heard, remembered and shared.
HOW IT WORKS
TAP YOUR PHONE. OPEN THE MIXTAPE. PRESS PLAY.
Hold a compatible smartphone near your Cassette Tap and follow the prompt to open the DENA Mixtape experience.
The music experience lives online, while the physical Cassette Tap becomes your permanent gateway back to it.
Keep it in your wallet. Display it. Collect it. Or pull it out whenever it's time to put somebody onto some DENA music.
