Summer in DENA: Shop Local, Show Up, and Celebrate Community With MADE IN DENA

There is something special happening across Altadena and Pasadena this summer.

From recovery events and wellness fairs to Juneteenth celebrations, local art showcases, thrift fundraisers, and vintage culture festivals, our community continues proving that even after hardship, creativity, entrepreneurship, and connection remain stronger than ever.

This summer, MADE IN DENA is proud to be participating in a series of events that bring neighbors together, support local businesses, celebrate culture, and help fuel Altadena's ongoing recovery.

If you've been looking for an opportunity to shop MADE IN DENA apparel in person, learn about our custom apparel services, or simply connect with others who love DENA as much as you do, here's where you can find us.

June 6: ALTA Art Fair

The summer kicks off with one of Altadena's most inspiring creative gatherings.

The ALTA Art Fair was created by volunteers and local artists dedicated to uplifting creativity, collaboration, and community following the Eaton Fire. What was once known for studio tours has evolved into a vibrant community art fair where artists, makers, photographers, jewelry designers, ceramicists, and creatives come together to showcase their work.

The fair takes place on Saturday, June 6, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall on Woodbury Road.

MADE IN DENA will be participating as an outdoor vendor and has been assigned Booth #16 according to the official booth assignment map.

Visitors can browse dozens of local artists while supporting a grassroots effort dedicated to strengthening Altadena's creative community.

This event is a reminder that art doesn't just decorate communities—it helps rebuild them.

June 6: Two Dragons Martial Arts "Together We Rebuild, Together We Rise" Web-A-Thon

Also on June 6, another longtime Altadena institution is stepping forward to support the community.

For more than 30 years, Two Dragons Martial Arts has served local families through martial arts instruction, mentorship, discipline, and community leadership.

Their Web-A-Thon Fundraiser Event focuses on rebuilding, recovery, and collective action.

Whether attending in person, watching online, donating, volunteering, or spreading the word, community members can support an organization that has spent decades investing in local youth and families.

Events like this remind us that recovery isn't accomplished by a single organization.

It happens when the entire community moves together.

June 7: The Juicy Little Society Thrift Store Fab Sale

If you love treasure hunting, bargains, community vibes, and supporting a good cause, this is the event for you.

On Sunday, June 7, The Juicy Little Society returns with its popular Thrift Store Fab Sale at the We Out Here Altadena Community Corner.

The event features:

  • Fill a bag for just $5

  • Clothing

  • Shoes

  • Household items

  • Books

  • Games

  • Pillows

  • Snacks

  • Hot food

  • Smoothies

  • Bingo

  • Family-friendly fun

Most importantly, proceeds support Altadena fire relief and recovery efforts.

This event perfectly captures the spirit of We Out Here Altadena: neighbors helping neighbors while creating joyful opportunities to reconnect and rebuild.

June 13: Altadena Talks Community Wellness & Recovery Series

Recovery isn't just about replacing buildings.

It's about restoring people, families, and communities.

On Saturday, June 13, MADE IN DENA will participate in the Altadena Talks Community Wellness & Recovery Series, an event designed to connect residents with resources, services, support programs, and recovery partners.

The event brings together nonprofits, government agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and local businesses committed to helping residents impacted by the Eaton Fire.

We'll be there sharing MADE IN DENA apparel, community pride, and information about our custom apparel services while supporting the ongoing recovery effort.

For us, supporting recovery means more than selling shirts.

It means showing up.

June 19: Juneteenth Community Celebration

Juneteenth represents freedom, perseverance, and progress.

On Friday, June 19, we'll be participating in a community-centered Juneteenth celebration featuring:

  • Live music

  • Family activities

  • Dance performances

  • Bingo tournaments

  • Face painting

  • Bounce houses

  • Food vendors

  • Community organizations

  • Local businesses

Hosted at New Revelation Church in Pasadena, the event creates space for families, entrepreneurs, and community members to celebrate together while supporting local vendors and organizations.

Expect great food, positive energy, and plenty of opportunities to connect with neighbors.

June 20: DENA Juneteenth — Liberation, Light & Legacy

One of the biggest celebrations of the month arrives on Saturday, June 20.

Hosted in Altadena at 2283 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, DENA Juneteenth: Liberation, Light & Legacy combines celebration with impact.

Visitors can enjoy:

  • Live music

  • Performances

  • Water games

  • Family fun

  • Community heroes recognition

  • Art

  • Food

  • Vendors

  • Scholarships

  • Exhibits

Perhaps most inspiring is the event's commitment to giving away $100,000 in grants to survivors, students, and small businesses, helping strengthen the community while honoring Juneteenth.

MADE IN DENA will be there celebrating culture, resilience, entrepreneurship, and community pride.

July 19: Back In The Day Altadena

The summer continues with one of Southern California's most unique community experiences.

Back In The Day Altadena takes place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at The Collaboratory, located at 540 W. Woodbury Road, Altadena.

Organizers describe the event as a fusion of:

  • Vintage toys

  • Collectibles

  • Art

  • Music

  • Gaming

  • Fashion

  • Classic cars

The event is specifically designed to support Altadena residents and businesses impacted by the Eaton Fire.

Visitors can expect custom car competitions, artists, vendors, entertainment, retro culture, food, and immersive experiences throughout the venue.

With previous events attracting hundreds of attendees and dozens of vendors, Back In The Day promises to be one of the summer's standout community gatherings.

Why MADE IN DENA Shows Up

Every event on this list shares a common purpose.

Community.

Whether it's supporting artists, helping fire survivors, celebrating Juneteenth, strengthening local businesses, or creating spaces for healing and connection, these events represent the best of Pasadena and Altadena.

MADE IN DENA was built to represent the culture, resilience, creativity, and pride of DENA.

That's why we continue showing up.

Because every shirt sold locally helps support a local business.

Every vendor event helps strengthen community relationships.

And every opportunity to gather reminds us that Altadena and Pasadena are more than places on a map.

They're home.

We hope to see you this summer.

Come say hello.

Shop local.

Support local.

Represent DENA.
