What started as a small table at the Authors Fair during Pasadena’s ArtNight in October 2015 has grown into a movement — a brand that’s both locally rooted and culturally relevant.
MADE IN DENA was born from a desire to wear your pride, represent your city, and support something with substance. Founder Jason Hardin put out the first few shirts just to see if the idea would catch on — and it did. The initial run sold out, validating the vision.
The Return With Purpose
After that first wave in 2015, the brand went quiet — but not because it failed. It paused to evolve.
In fall of 2017, MADE IN DENA made its intentional return. This time, profits from new drops were used to help fund the documentary directed by Dena-native business owner, Steven Sneed, and co-produced by Sneed and our own Jason Hardin, “PASADENA: Exploring Solutions To Reduce Gang Violence,” a powerful film project aimed at addressing local youth and community violence through real conversations and community-based solutions.
MADE IN DENA wasn't just about fashion — it was now a tool for healing, storytelling, and change.
